Roy, I would tend to agree w/ Dave. I was there 4 years ago and it ain't pretty down town when they come in, your big ship and mine may be different sizes though. just my opinion .

One big cruise ship can't fill up the entire bay guys. I've been to Acadia when they were in town. Sure, if you look one particular direction you can see a cruise ship. Just look in an infinite different number of directions and you won't see it. Maine, the bay, and the Atlantic are all big places and a ship can't block your view of all of it.

Rodney......I think the concern is with a thousand people flooding the small towns......Bar Harbor....Camden......

When I lived in Brunswick, I didn't see any such thing. That was a long time ago.....???

Ah, I see. I guess that would be less than perfect but then again, I don't go camping to spend time in town. Other than maybe a dinner out, I try to avoid the other humans and their cities...LOL. The campground, my grill, and a trip through Acadia NP and I'm a happy boy. I can understand how others who haven't been there would want to check things out though. I'll ask at the campground about finding out the cruise ship schedule and avoiding them...

Wasn't thinking of that.
We was thinking of the downtown area where the "shopping" is. We was there one day nice quiet town. After the ship hit. Forget it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it Roy. I think it's a more often fine than not situation.

Yeah, they no longer sail boats the size you were used to: The Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria.
