Soft mount jag ifs

Setting my steering column up and I'm using the jag u joint

Should this be half way between full extention and full down?
It's close in the pic to being half way between
Also about how much will the jag ifs move?

I don't know anything about jag ifs, but imho, that steering shaft is way too close to the exhaust for my comfort. The constant heat cycling on that part is a recipe for failure. I'd be looking for a different set of headers. My 2c.

I would think you would be safe at half way. I don't believe the mounts can flex that much - at least let's hope not.

The idea is for the joint to take up any movement so you don't feel it in the wheel.

I think you would be good at half way.

Hopefully, those that have set their's up and are driving their vehicle, will respond with some insight.
