Need some help finding gaskets. I am swapping to a 4-barrel carb and am trying to find gaskets that block off the center ports on the intake. I have seen others post that they have used them but I have not been able to find them. Does anyone have a website lead or part number for them? I have a '55 239 with original heads and 9425-A intake. Going with an Edelbrock #350-1406K 600 cfm carb. ('55 f100)
I don't know about totally blocked off, but restricted gaskets are available. Lots on eBay and I'm sure available through many vintage Ford places, maybe even local parts stores.
thanks, guys. Is there a benefit to partially blocking over completely blocking the center ports? When I found this truck the two center ports were rusted thru and I had to get another intake. I had it all nice and clean and painted and within just a couple years the center ports are burned and look like they are about to give in. I have a good 4-barrel intake and I dont want the same thing to hapen to it. My plan it to completely block them off with thin metal unless there is a benefit to only partially blocking it off...
I have used the restricted gaskets on a painted iron intake, and a clear coated aluminum intake, both daily driven. In each case, the coating did not burn off. I also do not have the heat riser valve, which might help.

Yeah. I am going to use Ramshorns and I don't have restricted gaskets either but I was just going to use some thin stainless steel sheet too and maybe poke a small hole in each just to keep the manifold warm.
Thanks for the input, as always. I ended up using thin sheet metal and blocked the center ports off. We got it all put together and drove it from Summerville, SC to Pigeon Forge,Tenn and back with no issues (about 800 miles on the trip). Well, no issues relating to the intake and new 4bbl. I may have went too light on the RTV on the valley cover as it is leaking a little in the rear. Hoping to be able to loosen it and lift it up enough to apply some more without having to take the intake back off. The Pertronix kit and 40,000v coil worked great as well. This was the longest road trip the truck has ever been on in its life, and only the second time it has ever been out of the state of SC since it left the factory for the dealership in St Matthews SC.
