My understanding is that moulding is cosmetic. It is possible that when the windshield was installed there was too much adhesive used and the windshield isn't sitting all the way down causing the moulding to lift. The only fix is to remove the windshield and reinstall it, assuming it doesn't break when removing. I am not a windshield installer but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn last night.
Funny you bring this up, my buddy drove up here from SoCal to go look at a ex in auburn and the windshield moulding was all funky, the sales guy said they had their windshield shop install new glass but they couldn't get the rubber.
I was skeptical and figured it was just typical used car lot BS. Actually I am still skeptical, but now I know he couldn't get one cheap. LOL. I am sure you get it at Future Ford if you are willing to pay their price. There are a few ex being parted out in rancho Cordova that may be good donors. .
I had my windshield replaced a few years ago after it was smashed by some debris on the road outside DC. The shop replaced it with some crap windshield that had permanent streaks in it. They replaced it again and this late spring driving to Vermont the stupid molding came loose and was slapping in the top of the truck. I had to cut it off on the side of the road. Called the insurance company and the scheduled another installer to take care of it. Another new windshield. The molding comes with the windshield the installer told me.
