scratched winshield

It was Amazing. 20 years ago my Gran Prix developed a scratch in it's windshield.
Damn if the next day a gravel truck didn't put a rock right through the windshield.
Insurance covered the new windshield 100%. What a coincidence. Got rid of the scratch.

If it is not that bad deal with it. With the X windshield being so large it is hard for it not to get scrathed with all the dirt from the roads. Especially if you are driving on highways with trucks. Or just drive down the Interstate and wait for that scheduled rock to hit it. lol. Check with your insurance forst though. I know some will make you pay if it is no one's fault or you cannot prove waht happened. I know here in NJ you can get a new X shield for about 3 bills installed at your home. Better to just call them and replace sometimes.

If price is a problem or if anybody just wants a cheaper windshield, - a windshield for a Super Duty will fit and is a little cheaper, you just have to adjust your rear view mirror lower and take the plastic cover off of the wires. I rewrapped the wires with electrical tape so it looks clean.
