I have been seriously considering getting new injectors because my truck is having some issues. I have been looking around and I wasn't sure if rosewood diesel is better for a stage 1.5 premium build ($1250) or unlimited diesel performance stage 1.5 ($1575). I know that rosewood is proven but the new injectors with a lifetime warranty from unlimited sounds pretty good. Anyone have advice? Or experience with one of the manufacturers? thanks
I have never heard of unlimited. I have a set of rosewood stage 1's and they are more than enough for the pulling I do (ocassionally in excess of 20,000lbs). I wouldn't go anywhere else for performance injectors at this point.
A couple of considerations, which are not meant to be a knock against unlimited but just my personal observation. Have you read the warranty? It doesn't cover the o-rings, the most common injector issue. They can ask for your entire maintenance history since installation before they honor the warranty. In short the warranty doesn't seem that impressive once I read the fine print. Not bad, just on par with everyone else. How long have they been in business? Their website does not indicate when they started.
Jim has an excellent reputation. He did the sticks in my brothers truck. If I ever need them he will be where I get mine. I do not remember ANYONE, EVER having a bad experience with him.
ok, I thought I would ask about unlimited. I tried to do some background on them as well and I could find almost nothing about them. I will probably just go with rosewood then.
IMO ,there have been other "new kids on the block" and people get all hyped up...then once the new wears off there are a bunch of dissapointed customers.
Jim will build a good set of injectors.no reason to mess it up going elsewhere.
