94 f350 shift problems
94 f350 4x4 7.5l e4od trans
Thanks guys....i have had this truck 8 years,rusty but trusty.
It always had a couple intermitent problems shifting...the first pronlem is it would randomly shift super hard..dragg out the vears then kick hard.
Then the next time u drive it...be perfect even over a long haul.
The other issue it had was sometimes randomly when highway driving,it felt like it was dropping out of od but not going down to third gear..rpms would rise 3 or 400 rpm..if i cycled the od switch it would drop to 3rd then back to od..
Now it still has them problems occasionaly..but its also doing something new...it feels like when its shifting into 3rd..sometimes nuthing is there and the rpms jump way ip...its done it 3 times trying to get on the highway....wont shift i tried cycling od button manualy downshifting stomping on go pedal..letting of go pedal...nuthing aeems to effect it .
It does that a few secs,jerks then shifts...but when it does that ince it usualy does it again in the same run when going throu the gears.
Trans is full of fluid,fluid is clean its about 5 years old proy has 25k on it..im planning on an oil change just looking for ideas..eead numerous threads on here already
