1978 F150 project
Hello all! I bought this '78 F150 2WD 351M400 equipped restoration project a couple months ago. I prefer 4WD trucks but I figure it'll make a decent old street truck/shop truck.

Once I removed the bed I discovered the bed is rusted too badly too feasibly repair so I set it aside for scrap.

I'd cut out that wheel arch repair panel because the next bed you get will likely need it.

For sure, I cut those out and saved the tailgate since it is in good shape.

I'm keeping the red interior but I'm not repainting it silver. I would really like to find the original like fabric for the seat inserts.

The cab is in decent condition it appears. There's some small holes in the floor pans and the cab corners need replaced but the cab mounts are solid.

I'd also cut out a section of bed panel.... juuuuuust in case.

I took the front clip off and discovered that at least I do not need new fenders or a core support. And the inner fenders are good.

Thanks! I'll give them a call tomorrow morning. With my trusty saws all I've hacked the bed up pretty good salvaging pieces I may need later.

This one here spent the first part of it's life in New Mexico until it found it's way here to Ohio at some point. I got lucky with this find.
