Wheels in, went up to get mounted, 2 rears were gouged to the point I refused them.
Plus they did NOT have the correct lug nuts to go along with them, so I left without my wheels!
Now, they call and say their supplier cannot seem to find any rears without gouges....
They are really working on it, and may have to order them from Oregon or CA
They tell me they'll have to get the CHROME lug nuts from Ford......I cannot believe that American Eagle Alloys does not have or offer lug nuts with these wheels.
These wheels (from the best I can understand) need a CHROME CLOSED type nut with a built-in washer, much like the stock nuts that are on my truck now.
(SMOKEY) Are your lug nuts like I'm describing? they look like it in your pictures....
Hey bummer guy! Since I am old and have oncoming CRS I believe mine were separate lug and washers! JMO: pard but I think I would look at those IONs on Fleabay ! Think the price is fair and and they seem to be pretty decent wheel! Plus they look the same as the ones you ordered !
I am inclined to agree about the Ions. I also think any chrome lug nuts that they find will in fact have separate washers, and that's ok with me.
I guess this isn't saying anything good for the Eagles being made in the USA.....
The Eagle people, according to Discount Tire offered to polish out the gouges, but they told them no, and that they had sold their customer NEW wheels, not some that were defective and repaired.....
I dunno.....I sent Eagle an Email last night because they DO NOT list a PHONE number, only a fax number......Certainly THEY have lug nuts for their wheels.....
UPDATE Sunday 9/6/15:
Actually spoke with the manager on Friday who told me that (after I called and he went to check) that the lug nuts were VERY hard to find and they had JUST shipped from CA!!
I personally think they/he dropped the ball and JUST ordered them!
I called a competing custom wheel dealer here in town yesterday and they HAD PLENTY of 14x2 thread CHROME MAG STYLE SHANK lug nuts AND WASHERS in stock!!
I went and bought 1 nut and took it to Discount Tire, where I was greeted by still another employee, (The manager was barricaded in his office, and I'm SURE he knew I was there) I looked at the new replacement rear wheels, that BTW DO NOT have the indentation for the washer to sit in, the lug nut I took FIT through the hole like it is suppose to, I tried it in the first front wheels and it would NOT fit, I am convinced that the original 54 wheels they got in ARE NOT "OUR" bolt pattern of 8 on 170mm, and obviously NOT drilled for 14x2 thread nuts-I think they are either GM of Dodge bolt pattern.........
I got part numbers off of the American Eagle boxes and from the original ones they shipped to the replacement rears there is 1 number different......I'm going to call AE on Tuesday morning and get to the bottom of this once and for all!!
What a MESS!! and all the while I have my original wheels sold and promised to a very understanding buyer, who HAS given me a deposit!
This starts out Dually (6 rims/tires total), then emphasizes 4. Do you already have 2?
What am I missing?
My truck (pictured above) has 6 matching alloys (rims/tires total).
BTW-Sorry you are having so much trouble.

Just a guess, they only come with 4 alloys the rear inners are steel.
...they only come with 4 alloys the rear inners are steel...
I know how they come, I purchased mine new, then purchased two more alloys to have all 6 match.
Why change or update rims/tires on a dually without doing all 6 to match?

No ill will intended.
I really thought these guys at my local Discount Tire were different, but they are not, they are no better than the other chain tire stores out there......
sell, sell, sell, take the money and run......
they want to mount the replacement rears and the first fronts which do not match, thet don't care, its not their truck..........
Somehow, I'm going to get through this, then find somewhere else to buy my tires and wheels......

Not replacing the steel inner rears, I really see no need for my truck....
that seems odd...I have bought ATV tires from these guys for years....never a problem getting them on the phone...sorry to hear about your hold up ....its not like them I can tell you that...
I'm guessing that you are the one who alerted someone at Discount Tire about my thread........?????
I just received a call from the manager of the local store I'm dealing with......and from where I'm sitting understanding that this is a public forum, feel that he had no right to be led to this forum or posting.....
This problem is NOT directly Discount Tire's, BUT I am dealing with DISCOUNT TIRE, and NOT the manufacturer directly, so the only face I have to look at this is that of DISCOUNT TIRE!! (sorry, but that's how it is)
And BTW: ATV tires and DUALLY WHEELS are about as far apart in the tire and wheel world as one can get.

Maybe by this forum these guys might get their ***** together.
Good luck and keep on top of them.
