I have been repeatedly having the check engine light come on with the code P007C (Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit Low) going off.
It isn’t consistent, it seems to occur most frequently in cooler weather (40-50F) with a warmer engine on restart, and it has gotten more and more frequent.
Truck is a 2012, and is EGR/DPF deleted with H&S Minimaxx running on the stock “Performance” tune.
Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
P007C - Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit Low (Bank 1)
Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the CACT circuit for concerns. The test fails when the temperature is greater than the calibrated value for the sensor or a short to ground is detected in the circuit.
Possible Causes: Damaged CACT sensor
CACT circuit short to ground
VPWR circuit open
Low air flow through the charge air cooler (CAC)
Damaged harness connector
Damaged harness
Diagnostic Aids: The presence of this DTC may indicate that the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power.
Check the harness for intermittent concerns, incorrect connections, routing, alterations and damage due to contact with other components.

I was throwing P007E for CAC Temp Sensor Erratic/Intermittent
(P007E)
For me, I replaced the sensor but it continued being a problem. It was corrected by an update for '13 tuning from H&S. Not sure if that would help you if you haven't updated in a really long time.
Otherwise the sensor PN was DY-1146 - about fifty bucks Canadian. Very easy to change on the outlet of the CAC as shown in previous posts.
Thanks guys - I will order the sensor, I'll be back in the states in a month, and can pick it up then. I'll also check H&S for updated tunes. I last updated the tuner early 2014.
On edit: Wow, sensor is only $12 from Autonation White Lake
