Cruise Control

At my favorite junkyard I found this. Going to guess it was dealer installed on the 86 I pulled it from. Just a cool artifact for my 83

Has anyone else seen one?

I had one on an old 1986 Tempo. It didn't work though.

Wrong year, but this is the best I could find currently on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-1993-1994-1995-1996-FORD-F150-F250-F350-BRONCO-CRUISE-CONTROL-ASSEMBLY-KIT-/361291871294?hash=item541eac743e&vxp=mtr

I think that is some confirmation that a truck with factory installed cruise is different enough, to where they came up with this dealer install kit rather than installing the cruise steering wheel and modifying the wiring.

I got it all installed and it works great. ended up having to find a short piece of speedo cable out of another truck to get the kinks out of the line for a clean signal

Nice find!

My 84 has all the cruise parts under the hood, but nothing on the inside. I think someone changed out the column sometime in it's life.

Perhaps this would work?

Looks promising, I wonder how that would hook into the original wiring?
