The speedo cable busted on my girl the past week or so, ordered a replacement from Rock Auto, and I be dammed if it broke again in the same place as the old one.
I have a 302 EFI backed by a C6 auto with cruise control.
The lower cable busted on about 2" from the end.(tranny side) Cant figure out why.
I pulled the upper cable from the cc and when I twisted it I saw both the speedo & odometer work.
Only thing I can figure is that the cc module is siezed. Please tell me what yall think.
Otherwise I am leaning toward buying a one piece cable and eliminating the cc module. I haven't used the cc in years but would be nice to keep it working.
