Hello everyone.
I just picked up another excursion, (I know its an addiction) but finally have the diesel, 2004.
I have had 2 diesels super duty's in the past, 2003, 2005 6.0.
the 2003 was stock, and the 2005 had the EGR replaced.
With that being said, the new EX has about 170,000 miles on it.
I was able to pull the ford oasis report, and it indicated the only engine issues (through ford) was the EGR vale being replaced on several occasions.
I noticed it has the factory head studs, and I have not yet checked for an egr delete.
I was planning on installing a coolant filter, but besides that any information on what else I should do to prolong the usual 6.0 problems?
Thanks in advance, this forum rocks.
