I would check the right clamp on the new and shinny boot in the picture to make sure the bolt is not touching the coolant hose going to the degas bottle. Its hard to see it in the picture on my phone. Found out the hard way that hose is about $20.
So I got the turbo out and separated. I will clean the vanes regardless but can someone tell me if it looks like one or more have been sticking. Feedback is much appreciated.
In the second photo it looks to me like some of the vanes were indeed sticking. So it'd definitely be worth cleaning, especially the vanes themselves. 5 out of the 9 vanes look like they were stuck and not moving too much if at all.
