headers in a 79 2wd
I bought a set of headman long tube headers to go on my 2wd 79 I just did a 351w swap in. one the driver side the damn thing goes right through the path for the auto tranny linkage, and also stops just a few inches shy of the tranny crossmember, making it real difficult to get any pipe on it. I haven't gotten around to fitting the passenger side yet, but I already know il have to re-route the tranny cooler lines. anybody have any tips or tricks they'd be willing to share?

Welcome to the adventure of 351W swaps which was never offered in this series. Long tubes are a general PITA and that much more of a headache with the 351W.. that's why most will opt for shorty headers.
Let us know how it works out.. document it if you can to help others that will undoubtedly follow in your footsteps... hopefully they won't step in "it".
