Stainless or aluminum bed caps?

I've been looking at getting some bed caps for my truck now that it's painted(build thread is in my sig). But I can't decide if I want Stainless or Aluminum diamond plate.

I have read some reviews where people have said that aluminum ones are REALLY thin and get dented very easy. Those of you that use aluminum caps, does this hold true? Or can they take a little bit of abuse?

Here are the ones I'm looking at.
Aluminum:

Stainless: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/qm...rd/model/f-250

I've got aluminum ones that the PO had installed, and they look to be about .060" thick. I don't know what brand they are, and the stake pockets had to be cut out by hand.

Those stainless ones will be very thin, like .020"-.030".

I have some like that too. They look awesome with a truck box.

I do have a diamond plate toolbox that will be going on the truck, so maybe I will go with the aluminum, as long as its not too thin.

Mine are pretty thick. Would take some effort to bend by hand.

I've got the aluminum ones. They aren't super thick but not really thin either but they are light in weight which aluminum is a lighter weight metal. They are not what I would call heavy duty but they'll get the job done. Get some aluminum cleaner and every couple months shine em up too. Easy and keep them looking good

I just installed some aluminum ones a few days ago. I'm happy with them, they seem better than I thought they would be, so I think they'll work great.
