I was trying to fix a problem (horn stopped working).
So, dummy me, removed and put back in every fuse (just checking to make sure the fuses are all good). I took one out at a time and was careful to put them back in exactly as they came out.
Now the thing won't start.
It spins over but won't start.
It's almost as if something to do with fuel has been disabled.
(it was starting just fine before my tinkering)
I checked the inertia switch and it's not tripped.
I have taken the negative battery off and left sitting for long periods of time and that hasn't helped.
I don't think it has the Ford anti-theft (PATS) because the original key is a slim key (not a fat key that contains a chip).
If it has PATS, it'll have a dash blinking "Theft" light indicator when the key is off.
It could have PATS & someone lost a key, didn't want to pay the Dealer ransom for a replacement, so just went to Wally World & had a plain key copy cut that would unlock the ignition & steering & taped the chipped key under cover, like to the steering column, or close by under dash, where the PATS antenna could read it.
If so & you had the ignition key on when disconnecting power, the PATS thinks your trying to steal the vehicle.
OK, good feedback, no PATS. SO, lets think about this some more. If it was starting & running ok before the fuse pulling exercise, then revisit All of the fuse Locations, to make sure you didn't plug one into a vacant spot, right next to where its supposed to go.
