I have received my admin warning , this is NOT worth being banned over .... all I did was give the poor OP the part number to a quality Scott Drake reproduction item that could help him and DOES work to repair the damaged wiring harness .
You sir were the one that chastised my post unnecessary for That companies part number . You come across as a rude and grouchy person most times by the way you post chastising members for using incorrect words sometimes and for that I am truly sorry for you . I will let you do all the helping of these fine members from now on and not attempt to share my experience any longer .
Just watched a youtube video on 65-66 mustang ignition swaps... I also removed the Instrument panel from the dash of my f600 so I can look down on the ignition and not have to lay on my back so much... probably remove the instrument panel on the 66 f100 also it lets more light in there also.
Watched some youtube videos... Anyway, I put a new starter solenoid on the truck. Then I noticed a wire poorly spliced into the hot side of the coil. I touched this wire to the hot post of the battery and my starter clicked but did not turn over. Saw a youtube video of a ford falcon started with a similar wire jumper from the coil to the battery and a screwdriver? Maybe my starter is bad? Can I test it in the truck or do I have to pull the starter?
Also my headlights quit working! So maybe I've fried something??
