Maybe I'm mistaken, but this looks like the cap that's been out for awhile that doesn't fit our trucks (unless you have a 450/550 C&C!). The 250/350 isn't listed in the supported vehicle list...

You may be correct. I just happened to run across it for the first time in a search this morning.

We should contact the manufacturer

They're sure proud of it at 94 bucks.

States it's for 450 & 750 with large DEF tank caps, and yes, $94 is too much.

Even though we can't use it, thanks for posting it. At least someone can see this and know it's not for the pickup models.

Are the keys made out of titanium!?

Either that or solid 14K.

A person would have to be a fool for buying a tiny little locking cap that costs $94.

I think the price sounds a bit high, but if you plant them they will grow overnight into a giant beanstalk that will reach up thought the sky. Then.....No...wait.
I think that was a different item.

Yeah, I think the $94 price point is geared towards companies who will do anything to keep employees from destroying a $50k+ truck!

Considering I spent $15 on a lockable fuel cap, I think the DEF one should eventually be around that price, if not less.

I didn't like the idea of drilling hole for a locking door so I improvised for about $.03 per def fill.

no, it's to prevent accidental cross contamination of DEF to fuel or reverse which will result in a very expensive repair bill. With the zip tie or locking door, you're more likely to know immediately if someone was tampering.

Well, it looks like the GM trucks have the most "secure" location for DEF fill, then (under hood). GM diesel vans and RAM trucks have the filler next to the fuel fill, but in both cases the caps are basically jammed in nearly on top of one another. The fill location under the hood is in an awkward spot on the GM trucks too. In my opinion, the Ford design is BY FAR the best, with good access to both caps and decent spacing between them, thanks to the nice wide (steel) fuel door on the Super Duty. I can't ever imagine "accidentally" pouring DEF or diesel in the wrong opening - the caps are different colors, shapes, and drastically different sizes.

What would be nice is for Ford to electrically lock / unlock the fuel door along with the passenger doors.

WOW, at that price I ordered two, in fact thinking of ordering some more, not sure how Ford is letting them go that cheap, my guess is they are taking a loss on them at that price
