Never said what you were going to use for substrate on the bezels.

Stated a couple Times there could be options. Plastic, aluminum/nylon composite, stainless.

How do you 3D print aluminum, composite or stainless?

You can also 3D print bronze, brass, mild steel and others.

I'm no expert on 3D printing, but I think that 3D printing metals is sort of like MIM (Metal Injection Molding). In MIM they mix metal powder with plastic and mold the part like a conventional plastic part. Then they put the part through a HOT furnace (something like 2000F for iron) to burn off all of the plastic and sinter the metal particles so they attach to each other and form a "solid" part (actually slightly porous since there will be a little space between particles).

To 3D print metal I'd guess that they'd "print" with a metal powder / plastic mix like MIM, and then either put the part through a furnace or possibly use a laser to sinter it. But again, that's just a guess from someone who knows a little about MIM (and much less than that about 3D printing).

Been slammed these past couple days finishing up a friend's truck and now working on my dad's as well as my own. I'll be ordering one of these for myself before I open them up for anyone, would rather not be hated on because I never bought one myself.

Life has been nothing but hell for weeks now.
Got around to ordering one to myself this past weekend, should be here Sept. 23-25th. Once it gets here (Installing it into a '97 CCLB 7.3L, power windows and locks (no mirrors), so simplest one available) I'll put it in and see how it fits! Hopefully its not a major disgrace. Nothing a little time in the design wont fix.

I thank you guys for the patience, and I apologize. Work, hospital visits between myself and my family members and my truck being wrecked has consumed too much time.
