okay where do I start. I have owned this dually for about a year,it has always had intermittent stalling issues that have gotten worse over time. At first the truck would start right back up however now its not running at all. Over the last year I have changed the GPR and the crank position sensor, fuel filters, air filter and I didn't help.
Now I realize after DTC scanning the truck, the IDM was bad so we changed it out with a known good IDM, we checked it on the scanner and buzzed the injectors however the truck still will not run.i have checked to make sure its getting fuel and I checked the IPR with a gauge and have 40 psi when cranking. I also have a clogged EBP but it should still run. When we scanned the HPOP it checked out great, where else can I look really need this truck running, ps; what is the single wire going into the fuel bowl on the drivers side just below the IPR that has a sort of oblong plug? heater?
The sensor I put in was beside the crank and it was NAPA.I thought there was only 1 sensor too but my mechanic says there is 2 a cam and a crank.my mechanic said when he scanned the truck that a cam sensor cam up in the codes but the truck could run on the cam or the crank sensor both didn't have to be working.also I didn't erase any codes after I put in the new crank sensor a month ago.i think the mechanic is full of bull

The mech. Said the cam sensor is on the front of the motor on the driver side
Get a Ford or International CPS. There is only one. Only those two are known to be reliable. Not sure what scanner he is using, but it's not correct. Check your pigtail going to the IPR and make sure it's not chaffed. It will cause these exact symptoms. Check your number 22 fuse and do yourself a favor and disconnect that fuel heater wire and tie it off. You don't need it and it will only hurt rather than help. I'd check that IPR first though. Jiggle it and see if it will start. If it starts, jiggle or touch it and see if the truck dies. Hope this helps!
Is that 45 on the low side oil pressure? You need something like 400psi on the high side oil pressure in order to fire. But if it's smoking, then the injectors are doing something. Have you tried plugging the block heater in?
