Fuel Pump Driver Module ?
My 1999 f150 is having issues of bucking while going down the road and it only happen on a hot day. It's like someone is turning the key off then back on.It's only for a split second. I'm having trouble determining if this truck has the fpdm or not. and if this may be the issue.

No lights or codes. it isn't a miss, its as if someone turns the key off for a split second and then back on. It started last summer, but quit after a few instances, now its back. I have replaced coils on my 4.6 Lincoln so I know the symptoms and this isn't it.
It's the 5.4 I have even ran my auto ingenuity scan tool with no results. It's very intermittent. Is seems to only happen when it's over 100 degrees. Last winter it never showed up. I'm stumped.

You should look at mode 6, test 53 the cylinder misfire monitors to be sure it's not a coil with a high misfire count.
It will under certain circumstances cause the PCM to stop processing for an instant then resume again.
It's the same effect as if you turned the ignition off and on very fast.
When the PCM stops, everything stops.

Thanks Bluegrass I'll be back home next tues and I'll give it a shot. I have all new accell COP for it but was wanting to wait until I'm sure they need to be put on before I use them.

I would return those ACCEL coils and get from a store like ROCK AUTO.
ACCELs are not good.
Get OEM Ford or at least Rock's GM offering.

I have a 99 f150 triton. It too has been doing the same thing. Only today, it completely died. I got it started after about 30 seconds or so, and then it wouldn't go over 25-30. It was like it was stuck. And it kept bucking. Luckily I made it to my driveway. Help! The search engine light is on, but they said it doesn't give them a code. So I have no clue.
