Wastegate problem after superchip prog
New member, love this site and love my truck. Has anyone seen this problem after loading the superchips 1705? Loaded "tow performance" mode after trying all 3 modes in my 2002 F250 7.3 PSD. Normal stuff, a little smoke and wastegate flutter when hitting the pedal hard. The next morning when leaving the driveway (probably didnt let the engine warm up much), when I gave it some pedal, I heard a loud clunking, grinding sound from under the hood or somewhere and the truck stalled a little. Everything has been fine since then, except that the wastegate no longer flutters or operates no matter how hard I run it. I can manually move the vacume actuator, and the hose looks good, just seem to have lost all wastegate activity. Is this a first? Any ideas?

First of all do you know what the WG is and does? Do you know if its working now or not?" Cause a malfunctioning waste gate is not a good thing..too much boost and poof. Your engine should run great without the waste gate working up to a point. You don't want to over boost it. The waste gate opens to allow boost to peak at a certain PSI. I'm not to familier with the ford system they may have safegaurds. I'm curious now I'm gonna look into it.
