Need help possible fuel issue

ok so the truck has been running great except for a couple times I had the engine quit on me due to me being an idiot and running it too low on fuel. Always started up again after bleeding the lines. Now however I had it happen twice in one day on a full tank. Both times it was going over a speed bump at low speed.

The first time I bleed the injectors and it started up and ran fine. However a couple hrs later I went over the same speed bump and now it won't start. The fuel filter is full and I have lots of fuel coming out of the valve on the filter. But just seems to be oozing out at the injectors. Maybe the IP? Don't know how old it is but was running fine before today, even went on a 4,000+ mile trip from AZ to Michigan and back without any issues.

There's no smoke at all when cranking
I have noticed over the past two weeks that before the truck never had to downshift to go up a hill but recently it's started to big down a little and start spitting black smoke before it downshifts and speeds back up.
Truck is at a mechanic shop but no one will be in until Monday so I figured I'd see if anyone had some insight first. Also can't really troubleshoot obviously so I'll give as much info as possible. Any help is much appreciated thanks.

No I didn't think to check that. However my fuel heater has been unplugged since the day I got it.

The fuel heater is not really needed unless you are some place real cold.
What truck and engine?

Fuel around the return caps would make me check for a loose injection line, cracked injection line, cracked return line O rings or cracked return lines.

Any air in the injection lines causes power loss.
Any air leaks in the return lines can let air into the fuel system via the return line to the fuel filter.

It's a 94 f350 7.3 Idi.
Ok I'll see if I can stop by today and Check all the lines and see if I can track down a leak.

Well mechanic called and good news. He said the truck runs just fine, and in fact it's in great shape. So must be just air intrusion. I get it back tomorrow and I'm gonna order a new return line kit since it's not to expensive and that usually seem to be the culprit. Then I'll add the hose to the pickups in the tank and put in an electric pump setup. Hopefully that will take care of the issue.

Quick update on the truck. Turns out there was also a bad connecter on the FSS and that's what was causing the truck to die when hitting bumps.
