what i have is the drivers side door on my 1999 ranger is hard to open, the door seal sticks to the door and makes it hard to open, i am afraid of breaking the door handle off,,,is there any thing to clean seal with to make it not stick? the seal is not sticky to touch neither is door but when out in the sun for a while they stick together,,,, any ideas,, mechanic told me to spray with wd40 that didnt help
Wipe the rubber seal & mating painted surface down with your favorite auto wash to get both good & clean of any spills & this would include the bottom seal where a spill would want to run.
Then spray or wipe the rubber seal with a high quality heavy duty brand name silicone spray product like CRC, Prestone, ect, & let it dry fully/solvents flash off, before closing the doors. It's worked well for me for over 50 years. Let us know how it goes.
