Backyard Find

I stumbled across this panel a few weeks ago and couldn't pass it up. The original buckets are there but the body is pretty rough. To think I searched high and low to find some panel seats a few years ago and this one was right under my nose. Pics attached if it did it right ........

Are you planning to restore it? What's the rear quarter panels like and rear doors?

I hate to be a downer but I don't think the panel has original stock seats. They look like newer seats. I bought a set of seats for my '48 panel some years ago and later found out the were for '53 to '59 panels. The older style, ,48-52, were more rounded in the cushions, the later style was more square. I later sold them when I bought my current '48 panel which had the correct stock seats.

I actually bought it for a few pieces for my 56 panel. It has a good fresh air heater and some other misc items.

I'm shocked that both rear qtrs are straight and solid. The rear doors are bad on the lower section.

Definitely - no intention to restore it .

Really? My other 56 panel has the same seats and they appear to be original??? I could be wrong.

The seats I had for the newer style truck had the same type of mounting system as the stock ones I have in my '48 panel and the '48-52 panels I've seen. The only real noticeable differences were as I mentioned, the newer seat were more square. It could be that both of your trucks had seats installed from a readily available newer truck. I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain those aren't the stock Ford seats.

If you were only closer, I'd love to have those rear quarters.
