Spring Green, WI. I go there several times a year. They have an out door theater production company (APT) that is one of the best in the country. APT is best known for its Shakespeare, but they do other plays as well--about 8 per season. The Ford truck planter is near the Culver's--on the same road.
I was in Spring Green again and took a look at the "Flower Truck". It was all cleaned up and ready for winter--a much better look in my opinion. With the hood down, I couldn't tell if there is an engine. There is a radiator, however.
My thoughts are this are maybe the code **** has been around and issued it's dictum and this is how to say stuff it politically correctly.....lol.
By the looks of the residence and parking, the owner had no choice but to park it there and his better half is helping him out in a big way until he get's his cave. On the other hand it may be hers. It probably even runs.
Don't take my musings seriously, haha, I was gigglin' as I wrote this.
Tell them the Frank Lloyd Wright association of Spring Green does not allow such a display and it will only be put up with if the truck is at least in running condition. If restored it can even be put on display at the restaurant! Maybe they will believe it and put another old Ford on the road.
