I got new stainless brake lines from classic tube today and they look great i also ordered the braided stainless flex hoses butthey didnt come with the rear flex lines to the calipers because they didnt know their dimensions.I sent them pics of mine so they could make them and I was wondering if anyone knew if they are the same for all years?also are they the same on gas as they are on the diesels?I'd like to see them offer them individually and in a kit
no diesel and gas use different lines from the master cylinder to the ABS pump, then different lines to the wheels because the ABS pumps are different, and mounted in different places.
i found that out the hard way when i needed an ABS pump and lines for a diesel truck. no problem, i will just pull one out of one of the 3 parts trucks. nope!!! the parts trucks are gas jobs and everything is different.
i replace all steel lines except the ones off the ABS pump with the nickle/copper alloy line on everything i own once the steel lines blow. they never rot.
i usually only get 2-3 years out of steel lines, the alloy lines on my 88 have been on it close to 10 years now.
