Looks like my focal point is to check and replace the cab mounts on my F-4. I see that vendors like Macs list various cab mounts and parts for F-1 through F-3 trucks. I would think the F-4 mounts would be the same, but thought I'd confirm before I order anything. Does anyone know if there's really a difference?
Howard - same for all models. Called Arm Assembly - Cab to Frame Suspension. Old number was 7C 5352 which is how Carpenter lists it, then substituted by 8C 5352, newest number I find is B5Q 5352-A. Stu
Thanks for the replies. I wish they wouldn't omit the heavier trucks from the application list.
Yeah, we run into that a lot.
And on the other hand, sometimes parts listed for F1-F4 are not the same, but have the same part number. RockAuto.com does this frequently, especially as it pertains to brake parts.

It's never a bad thing to ask questions here, especially with the F4-F6 trucks. As has been pointed out, many of the vendors concentrate on the F1's and just wing it on the others. That is why I really limit myself on which vendors I deal with. There are a few that really do dedicate themselves to our trucks and then there are others that have simply jumped on the Ford truck bandwagon to supplement their business that is/was based on other makes.
A few years ago LMC was sponsoring the F100 Supernationals, so I went by their tent to ask about parts for my F5, they acted like I was asking for parts for a space ship. I walked away but did take a catalog. A few weeks later I looked through the catalog and found some of the items that they (3 of them at the show) had no idea existed. Late last year somebody on facebook asked me about a serial number, so I gave him the info on locations. Another person chimed in say thing the serial numbers are ALL on the drivers side, so I asked for their source and was directed to the LMC catalog. So I grabbed the one I had and looked at the section discussed serial numbers, where they are located and how they break down. Sure enough the page was filled with numerous mistakes, so I contacted them and informed them of their errors. I got a 'We'll look into it" and the new current catalog still has the wrong information. In case you didn't know LMC started as a parts business for British cars.
