Personally, I see nothing wrong with the Ford Cetane additive PM-22. I would NEVER use the PowerService Diesel Kleen in a 6.7l. My reason for this is Diesel Kleen tries to make the water soluble and part of the diesel fuel so it can pass the truck water filter and be burned by the engine. See the email i received a few moths back from PowerService....
Thank you for taking the time to contact Power Service. Our products are neither an emulsifier or demulsifier. They make water soluble in diesel fuel, or in other words it dissolves water and makes it part of the diesel fuel. The only additive that contains any alcohol is Diesel 911, and it contains a very safe, high molecular weight alcohol that will not cause any engine harm. If you have any further questions please give me a call at 817-599-9486 and ask for Jessica.
Thank you and have a great day,

I have used Power Service Diesel Kleen since my first tank. I'm now around 26,500 miles on the truck and have yet to drain one drop of water out of the fuel separator bowl.
Now is this a result of never having any water or moisture in any of the fuel I have purchased or a result of Diesel Kleen? I don't know and don't care, important thing is there has been no water to drain. I pick up about 1mpg using the PSDK, the truck runs great and is a little quieter with it in the tank.
Of course your results may vary............LOL, I always wanted to say that.
It might be that the message from Diesel Kleen is misleading. I think that the 911 product is the only one that takes the water on thru the system. Try to get a clearer description from Power Service.
If you use the Ford stuff that they say is for your truck, you know you can't go wrong. You also know that if you have a failure and they say you used an additive, you can say YEP, The Ford stuff you sold me.
Having said that, I don't see anything wrong with Power Service, Opti Lube, Archoil, Lucas DIESEL fuel additive, and the many others that I am forgetting at the moment.
I do run an additive and lubricity formula in the winter. It gets COLD and Diesel fuel here is largely kerosene in the winter. I don't want to hit the CFPP of the fuel either. Especially since I fill up about once a month.
I really wish a new updated test of the various additives would come out. The last one I know about is so old, it's really outdated. Most companies in that test have changed formulas since then. (which is why I won't post it)
I also use the power services. Haven't had a problem yet but I have only been using it for 3,000 miles. Drained the fuel filter bowl this past weekend and not a single hint of water. Was perfect looking. But as said above I will probably switch to the p22a just because I have the easy care gold extended warranty and don't want any issues if something goes wrong with the engine
We manufacture Diesel Power!® along with other brands such as STA-BIL®, 303® Products, etc.
With equipment that has a fuel water/separator and high pressure common rail injection, you want to run additives that demulsify water. This will help ensure that water doesn't make it past the fuel/water separator into an injector and possibly blow off a tip. When additives emulsify water, allow a lot more opportunity for problems with your injector tips.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Having no water in the water separator would worry me. If there's no water in there.... where is it?
Was all the water emulsified and allowed to blend into the diesel, thus being run thru the system? That's bad.
I would insist on something that DEmulsifies the water to get it OUT of the diesel so the separator can catch it to be drained.
But I also live in a humid climate - Houston TX Gulf coast area - so we need a demulsifier for the AIR around here lol !
