Here is mine, which I think is exactly as seen in the image above (cut off) and as TA455HO indicated. There is a threaded style and a spade style. My threaded sender has a push-on terminal as seen in the photo.

I'm pretty sure this is for the light as it is just a switch. The canister looking sender is for the gauge. Yes?

 

Yes, that is correct. Methinks someone might be a bit mistaken (not you) but it matters not in the grand scheme of things.

Here's an NOS wiring harness. You can see the white wire has the spade terminal for the oil pressure light.


So, all 3 of my trucks plus an NOS harness have spade connectors for the idiot light. That is stout pudding there.


None of them are crimp type connectors, but instead are molded to the wire, just like the NOS one pictured.
