AC freeze up

AC freeze up

My problem is with my 2002 f250 super duty 7.3ltr. ac freezes up after a hour or so on the high way, dealer says can,t happen.
Any ideas

First, welcome to FTE!!!!!

They will freeze up if they are low on charge....

Thanks I think you solved the mystery,mechanic called Detroit and found out ford has changed the specs on the 2002/2003 Super duty ac systems changing the freon from 42oz. to 56oz.
this should end the freezing up . we will see
