We all know the sway bar end link problems in the early superdutys. Several years ago I installed energy suspension bushings and thought the problems were gone. Lately it started clunking again. I tightened the bolts with a breaker bar and it helped. but now it making noise again. I purchased a set of mevotech end links. Upon installation I found the problem. Over the years of clunking the bolt hole on the upper driver side is no longer round. It has become oval shaped. I read a couple threads on here about this problem. I can't drill them out as the mevotechs have studs not bolts. Does anyone know if I can get the mounting bracket that bolts to the frame. Its a triangle shaped piece that the end link stud goes through. I have tried searching for it online to no avail. Whats it called? Any help would be great.
Thanks
Budman
Did you ever find a place to sell you that pillow block. I just put new links on and noticed the hole on the driver side was "wobbled" out like you explained. The passenger side was nice and tight, I actually had to tap in the top link bolt with a hammer,I didn't have to beat it or anything, just a tap. When I went to put the driver side top link in it slid right in and I could rock it up and down with my hand. That damn hole in the pillow block is shaped like an oval, hopefully you can help man, all these other guys don't get it, the clunk is coming from the damn block on the frame.
thanks
Ya I bought one but never installed it because I sold the truck. Its been sitting on my workbench ever since. I'll try to find out where I got it. I don't remember right now. The mevotech end links were definitely a big improvement over the stock or energy suspension.

weld a washer on the hole to true it back up a thicker hardened washer works best
