Who do you believe?

Hi,
This is on a mopar, but I suspect it's pretty general.

Had my torque app running today showing some gauges on my tablet. (05 GC)

Was hot and humid, but the temps stayed mostly 195-204.

However, in traffic sometimes they climbed to 220 +. The temp gauge pn the dash went to dead center -- had been the tick below that. Wonder what full hot is ??

On the other hand, torque has reported my GPS speed as 106 mph at times (in your dreams).

So, who's right?

hj

Working on an older Concorde the other day, the gauge stayed just below centered until 212, then it was a hair past center until I shut it down at 225. IIRC once it hits 230 the gauge just goes to the stop, it's a glorified dummy light.
In that instance the fan relay ground was controlled by the PCM, except that from time to time it seemed to forget it had to turn the fan on. I just ran a ground wire so the relay clicked on when the key was on.
