Hey everyone, just a quick question. When I start my truck up initially and it's somewhat cold, like even if it hasn't run for just a few hours, it seems to gargle when I get on it. Mind you I'm not slamming it while it's cold but even just trying to accelerate. Code is egr flow insufficient, the truck isn't egr deleted, I've had it for 150,000 it's got 211 now. I just clean out the egr every 15-20k and it's been great until now. Once it warms up it sounds and runs perfect. Any ideas?
When you say gargle do you mean it's making a funny or weird sound? Or do you mean it's running pretty rough until it warms up?
If it's running rough until it warms up then it kinda sounds like you may be experiencing some injector stiction. Lots and lots of posts/threads on that subject.
The EGR Flow code could still be a lazy EGR solenoid/valve. Do you have any way of monitoring the engine vitals other than the gauges in the dash?
