I use this little Schumacher charger from eBay. It sits on top of my under-hood fuse box, and when the truck returns to the driveway it gets plugged back into the extension cord that's always laying there.
I have a second one that is connected to my travel trailer's battery when it's not on-the-road.
I'm hoping that they minimize sulfation, and allow my reserve capacities to deplete at the slowest-possible rate.
The Units come with a 90* mounting bracket which mounts to the battery tray.
I bought the exact same cord at Lowe's (Actually bought about 20' as I had five to install) and extended it, soldered connections, used weatherproof shrink tubing on each connection and a sleeve over the work.
Takes maybe 20 minutes a unit to complete.

Thanks for the info. I got the Shumacher and just used an extra, short extension cord to get it down next to the block cord. Mounted the Shumacher to the front side of the left hand battery box that was part of the OEM cold air box.

Thanks Springer Pop, I went with the Shumacher SE-1-125 pictured above. My previous post states how I mounted it.
Great thread... I think I am going to pick up the Shumacher SE-1-125S off Amazon...$25.00... I like the idea of mounting it on the truck and just keeping it plugged in..
