UPDATE:

Picked up a winch bumper off Craigslist for $50. Now I have to buy a winch. Considering a Badlands 12k from Harbor Freight.

Decided to pull the trigger on a John Wood trans in February. Will update with results.

Nice find bud!!

Regarding the winch, you can find a quality used Warn or comparative winch on CL for what a HF costs. Warns you can order parts for and rebuild fairly cheap. HF are toss and go winches, I make fun of friends who go that route and ONE) it won't pull worth chit at its rated pull power TWO) about 1 or 2 pulls and they toast. They are cheap for a reason! There are things to go cheap on and there are things that save your azz and are not worth cheaping on. Ever seen one have a brake failure...ever seen one loose a dog and spin the drum. I have seen a lot of pretty bad failures over the years due to cheap winches.

I'm doing just that, keeping an eye out on Craigslist for a good used winch. Thanks for the info!

Changed to a prodigy rf brake controller the other week & also changed the connection plugs & sockets to abs/ebs type, don't know if you have them over there, they are 15 pin so can run extra things like the separate turn signals we have here & rear fog lights, back up lights, separate circuit for battery charging.

The suzy cables are connected just behind the drivers side tail light

Also we got away this weekend, the sun is shining & I even have a little sunburn!
