This may sound a little off - but is there a way to reduce the power steering input? Maybe by putting a larger pulley on the PS pump to slow it down, etc? I like vehicles with much less assist, more similar to unassisted rack/pinion or more modern 'power-assist' versus the older one-finger lock-to-lock steering. I can live with it if I have to, but short of converting to a manual steering box, what are my options? (Truck is a box-stock '78 F100 with a 300 and C6 transmission.)

I am trying to stay on a budget so my list is: Sanden compressor, oil and transmission coolers, overload rear springs, replace seat foam with heavy 35 lb foam, and paint - pretty much in that order. The front end ...well, you can see it would come 'way down the list!
