I need some help in identifying a frame stamping on my 1954 F100. I was looking for my VIN by following previous post suggestions on where it would be located and found a stamping that I could not identify. The marking is located on the cross member in front of the radiator in the following manner:
TAAA
5020A
MC
I can not locate any information on what if anything this means. By the way, I found my VIN on the passenger side next to the front cross member.
Thank you very much for any assistance and truly appreciate all the expertise that this forum provides!
I believe that number is the part # stamp, there are those who can be more help here tho. Did you find the vin# stamp on the frame. The area I always find the stamp on these trucks is on the top of the frame, passenger side just in front of the front cab mount, right around the first rivet area. The # should resemble this example f10v4dxxxxx

That's the part number for the first crossmember on 53-56 F100, F250 and P350.
This is what the number stamp looks like
The blue light is shinning on the area of the stamp.
For the 56 it is on the drivers side by the steering box and between the running board brackets on top of the frame rails. The part number stampings are larger than the stampings for the serial number.

That is ONLY true if it's Canadian built. Since the OP is from Florida and didn't mention it being a Canadian truck, I posted the correct information.
BTW, the photos I posted are from a 1956 F100.

That's good to know, I didn't realize they were stamped on opposite sides.
Thanks.
