We only get snow for about 1 or 2 days a year, and it melts within a few hours. However, this is hill and deep mud country. 4x4 is still a necessity for us! Especially for those of us that live in the mountains.

12 psi isn't a particularly high boost level - if anything, I'd call that a low pressure turbo. My '99 Saab was 20psi stock, and people regularly tuned that to 25+. Anyone who's owned Saabs will tell you that the engine was about the only thing on them that didn't break, lol.

I looked at a few dealerships in tx and in md, it seems md has the best deals
Okay, now I have to respond. Maryland does not typically include destination cost in their quotes. IDK about Texas. I sell in Pa, and I've had plenty of folks go to MD cause they were lead to believe the deal was amazing, only to find out there are a ton of hidden expenses so they come back and get my original good deal. Destination, doc fees, even prep fees added on above their advertised price. Pa Doc fee is capped at $134. In MD its common to see $500 doc fees. Give your local dealership a chance. Feel free to use the MD numbers, but keep in mind they are likely not entirely accurate and it may not be possible to sell a truck at that price without fudging here and there to make it look different. The dealers aren't being sneaky, but different states have very different laws in how to advertise and where you can add fees, as well as how much you can mark up interest so they have to act that way to be competitive. 99% of the time you're better off building a relationship with your local dealer. We all buy the trucks for the same price and the difference between high volume and tiny shops is only a few hundred bucks at the end of the day. You'll make it back in several ways buying local.

I feel your pain! I used to live in Minnesota, but I left that behind in 1971. Been out here for 44 years now, and I have to admit that I don't miss the 6-month winters!!!

OP (forgot ye name), seems to me like the NA 3.5 V6 would be the ticket for you then. I'd definitely get the locking differential though. I have it on my 5.4, and it has helped me out a few times.
