You have what we refer to as an E99. Also known as an Early 99. It is a little bit different than the later model Super Duty trucks. I believe the turbo on it is not the same as the later model trucks too.

12/7/98 or before production date and it is an Early 99 for the motor parts.

Many options, you don't need to completely swap it out. Shoot us a call on Monday and we can talk it through with you.

Their ya go, I swapped my E99 stuff with Clay which I'm sure you know from my thread but give Clay a call and go from there. Nothing wrong with an E99 either.

With earlier Q from the previous page, do you have a cruise light when the cruise is on? Small stuff will tell especially from the post that Clay gave you above with the year date of manufacture.

Edit: Never mind. Didn't realize that Clay's arrow pointed at your sig.

Why? There's nothing wrong with what you got. I have one sitting outside that has been horribly abused, sitting on close to 400,000 miles.

things are coming along nicely Jaime, I have to do my guage cluster lights as well. I ordered all red LED's for it. I prefer red because it doesnt mess up your night vision as much as other colors do. But your guages look much much better than before and def better than factory.

Dont be bummed about having an E99 truck, at least you know you have forged rods instead of the PMR's like I have. Not that the PMR's are bad, as I never plan to up the HP to the point I need better rods. But hey, better rods are better rods, just one less thing to ever have to worry about.

Thanks for posting about the cup holder the other day it reminded me to go on e-bay and look for one and I scored I got a used one off a 2003 for 15$ I have been looking for a while but kept getting outbid past 50$ can't wait for it to show up I launched my coffee this morning making a hard turn thankfully it didn't spill. That sucks you can't use the AIH plug maybe down the road if you change the spider to the late one.

Well got the air intake hose, so now I just need a day off so I can take the time to get the AIS installed!

As far as I can tell it looks like the correct piece!

Just a heads up, Mondays are a hard day to get in so you might have to leave a message. Feel free to shoot us an email with your contact info though and we can try and get ahold of you as well.

From past experience I would suggest staying away from Dorman if possible. They seem to make some of the cheapest quality you can buy.

I do understand where your coming from, but I needed something quick so I can at least get the AIS installed before next filter change (about 1K left) so I figured this would be best for now until I can afford the proper AIS with all the trimmings The current goal is just to get the stock dirt sucking box out and the AIS in so I can at least feel better about the filter set up...

@Clay: info sent!!
