ok, I just picked up a new tool box (low profile type) for the truck which I still need a name for, but I realized very quickly how much I used the tool box on sandy, so I said heck with it and bit the bullet (thankfully I have a good discount at the parts house and we stocked the one I wanted to get), it had a lot of caked on dust as the boxes did sit on the shelf for a good while but it cleaned off with a bit of rain water on the way home!

I will be getting pictures later when it becomes daylight again! on the positive side I forgot how much fun it is doing a build thread where I am actually doing things for enjoyment, not repairs every other day kinda like I was starting to do with the F150...

but I am at least enjoying this truck now

OK! With the V8 Powerstroke emblem on the fender, leads me to believe your truck is what we refer to as an E99 (early 99). There are a few things different on your truck compared to the rest of the 99-03 7.3's. (I own one of these too)

P.S. Do you want to keep this in the Super Duty Forum? The guys that hang out in the 99-03 7.3PSD Forum really have a lot of knowledge on these trucks. Don't know how many of them visit the Super Duty Forum.

well i figured its time for sprucing up the wiper arms and here are the pictures

figured as they were rusty its time to derustify them along with the rest of the truck and who knew a wire clothing hanger would be a good and useful tool for the process...

the old rusted POS

removing the wiper arms

drying them at about 150* (after a quick bath in degreaser/water)

Yes I know I could have just gone black on them but I don't want to look like every other truck out there (some of you guys already know this anyways...)

the best tool ever invented...seriously!!!

I can't wait to see them in day light but what I can tell in the dark makes me happy and excited!! Day time shots will come tomorrow when I can take some pics!!

they will be coming soon, I got a few other items I want to hit shortly (of course my Bday is coming on the 28th) and my truck is going to get an upgrade that every audiophile wants to do

thanks, he loves riding in the truck any opportunity he can get...infact I think I may have to call it the dog house he loves it so much

as for your wiper arms, they will now begin to rust and if they do its actually very simple, all I needed was two batteries for my drill and a wire brush and I went to work...oh and can't forget the shade/cool day to do the work in....
