Eatonville, WA Shops

My brother just bought a 2001 F350 7.3L up in Eatonville, Washington.

Does anyone know of any good diesel shops for oil changes basic maintenance in that area?

Eatonville is too small to have a dealership, let alone a selection of what we would loosely refer to as shops. Spanaway and Puyallup are the closest markets to have a diesel mechanic at all.

Will you be staying in Eatonville, or is this a pick up and drive away thing?

My brother lives in Eatonville do you have recommendation in Puyallup or Spanaway?...it is his truck...

I know he lived in Puyallup for a while... so I am sure he knows the area...

He has some basic knowledge of mechanics...but no tools...he said he uses jiffy lube for oil changes...my response to that was... "um no!"

Its a sweet truck...but he way over paid for it...I am trying to get him on here... its a black crew cab 4x4 srw short bed

I don't know the shops there, but maybe somebody will chime in soon.

Somebody from OH might say somebody overpaid for a 7.3L in the Northwest, but somebody from the Northwest might think different. These rigs are crazy expensive here - one of our local members sold his 2002 for $18K last year.

We don't have rust issues like the Midwest.

I kbb and nada guided it with his zip code....highest retail I got was $20K and he paid significantly more than that...

Ouch - but he's not the only one to pay more than $20K. I've seen $24K, but my attitude is to keep searching. I should mention that for a truck that pulls $24K, it was garaged and used once a month by a little old lady on here way to bingo.

He claims it only has 60,000 miles so...it does appear that way..

In that case. it's not a rip-off around here - but it's no bargain either.

KBB doesn't work up here... at least not the few times I've tried to use it. I had a Toyota pickup 4X4 with the V6 (predecessor to the Tacoma) with 200K miles. I listed it on CL for twice KBB - the truck was gone in hours... three of those hours used up by the buyer on the highway to get from Seattle to here.

I had a Toyota Corolla with 200K miles (with some nice options that college students would like). I never even had a chance to advertise that one. I was offered twice KBB straight up. In this case, the buyer knew how well I take care of my vehicles.

You simply cannot get 7.3Ls for a "civil" price around here. There are waiting lists at every dealership that would sell one from a trade-in - and the stealerships are taking advantage of that demand.
