Def sensor

While on vacation...first fill of def..waited until said 200 miles left. Filled with def..started truck ...still said 200 miles left.

Is this normal? After about 15 minutes no more 200 miles indication. Is sensor just slow to react?

That would be pretty much normal. Sometimes it will reset right away.

Lots to learn on this truck. On our buses the def does it immediately and can fill anytime.

I usually fill mine. Then just turn the ignition to the on (not start) for a few seconds.

Then shut it off and finish putting stuff away.

Then it is good to go.

I keep thinking I should read the operators manual (but I haven't yet). Y'all keep up this chit-chat and I won't ever need to.
