Help

How much transmission fluid do I put in a 1999 ford f350 7.3 diesel with a torque converter.

That's hard to answer until we know what you've done to it.

Did you drain it including the torque converter, for service?

Did you just drain the pan, also for service?

It this the initial refill after a complete rebuild?

Are you just topping it off?

If it's dry, or you drained the torque converter as well, 15 - 17 is a good starting point. Bring it to temperature and adjust the level.

Pan only, start with 5 Qts. Bring it to temperature and adjust the level
