quick question, I replaced my Glow plugs last night. I id the drivers side first and when I was in there I looked up the torque rating just out of curiosity, well I misread and torqued them all to 10 ft lbs...
I realized after the valve cover was back on and did the other side just by feel. Just wanted some other opinions on weather thats going to be a problem down the road and if I should pull the valve cover off again( yeah right) and torque them more?
12-ft lb for your farm truck (idi diesel) but if your pulling valve covers to replace them, then your not talking about your farm truck lol.
14-ft lb for your di.that's not much (about the same either engine) so id guess "by feel" is probably fine.if you were to recheck them (not worth the effort imho) you'd probably find you over snugged them past that if anything.1 vote for feed 'er the oil worry free and run 'er.
