Lowering 92 Nite

I have a 1992 Nite and I want to lower the front. Iv cut springs n my 68 but these are different. Thought about cutting the top then drilling and tapping a hole on the bracket to accommodate the spring as it won't have the pig tail type top. I really don't want to spend $200 on lowering springs. Anyone have any ideas ?? Thanks.

Do not attempt to cut them.. Unless you have some money saved up for some springs...Cause you will most likely be buying new springs afterwards. Swap in a 460 big block that will lower it down

I researched this for my own 92 Nite I had a few years back. Because of the I beam suspension setup, you're best bet is to buy a proper kit with the drop I beams for the front. No quality easy way to lower the front of these trucks unfortunately.

You can drop the front with springs up to 3" and still get the camber in spec.

New user to this site. I used a DJM 3/5 kit. New I-beams drop front end 3" and flip kit on rear. Sits level after everything settles in.

Thanks guys! I did cut a pair of springs. But I need to heat the top and turn it in a bit so it can latched onto the bracket.
