Yours doesn't cool the seat back huh? I have the second version with the TSB and it barely does anything with the seat back

Josh
Nope, nothing at all at the seat backs.

What kind of truck is that? Not an F150 by the looks of the seat.. Definitely not 2015 or 2016 F150

I would agree with that. I would reckon with a temp gun or FLIR camera there would be a couple degree difference from ambient, but not much.

Hardly seems worth it. The seat bottoms take their own sweet time to cool, and even when they get going it isn't all that significant. Couple that with the fact that the backs cool so little/slowly that I'm really underwhelmed with the whole "cooled seat" idea.

I would consider the seat bottoms acceptable. After sitting in the blazing sun it takes a moment to cool down the black leather, but once it does it's very acceptable. To me anyways.

2016 is the older variation of the seats in a superduty. The superduty changed to match the design of the F150s in 2017.

Is that a good or a bad thing? I'm thinking bad because they don't work. If I turn on the seat AC with the seat back open, I can feel hot air coming out of that exhaust vent/tube, and a small (VERY SMALL) amount of air movement at the blower motor. Nothing comes through the seat though.

Well the 2015+ F150s and 2017+ SuperDuty's are having a lot worse response. It was to the point that the newer design was causing a hot spot so bad that kids were saying ouch.

Does your blower turn on and push air? Typically guys with the older style like yours are very happy with the performance.

The blowers turn on, but the amount of air moved by the seat back blower is about 1/100th that of the seat base blower. The base will freeze you out pretty quickly.

Talked to the dealer last night and they say there's nothing they can do until Ford issues a TSB. Wow...
