shifting problem
my 94 bronco is having transmission problems as I am sure all auto's have. it seams to need help with shifting. if I just put it into 3rd aka (D)rive it will not shift out of 1st on its own with out a little help. meaning I have to drop it into 2nd then back into 3rd for the transmission to work proper. this happens every time I put the truck in park. Has anyone else come across this problem? pleas help me. if I don't have to cough out the cash to have my transmission re-built that would be helpful.

I had a similar problem with my transmission position sensor. Tps aka neutral safety switch if it was slightly misaligned it would do what you described, i'd take a look at that you will need to test the ohms of the sensor in each gear position to make sure its within range if its not or feels sloppy that could be your problem
