We must think alike.. I pulled into a Burger King where the 58 and 395 meet near Barstow with the intention if taping the hose up. Popped the hood, looked at it for a minute, then decided the tape might not be such a good idea. LOL 😁
I blew mine off yesterday - had no clue what happened. Searching this site got me to the right people. $130 for the new hose. I'm seeing the Rif-Raff info ... wondering if that goes over the OEM hose or instead of it.
The Riff Raff boots replace the factory boots. We just got back from a 4700 mile trip pulling our fifth wheel and did not have another problem. I bought the rings that go on the tubes to help lock in the boots, double clamped the hot side lower tube, flared out the tube ends, and tightened the crap out of them. I re tightened them a couple of times also because they were a little loose. The truck pulls much better when you are able to give plenty of throttle not worrying about popping off boots on every hill.
